As part of ongoing bridge rehabilitation work, the east span will need to be lowered for approximately 1 hour tomorrow mid-morning to facilitate existing machinery investigation efforts. During this time however, passage of watercraft will still be accommodated and the east span raised as required.

Additionally, in an effort to protect various provincially recognized migratory bird species at risk for the duration of the project, Landform Civil Infrastructure staff will be installing netting on the underside of the east span throughout the overnight hours tomorrow night from 10 pm to 6 am. To accommodate this work, the east bridge span will again be lowered, but the passage of watercraft will not be available. Once completed, the east span will be raised.

The Project Team appreciates everyone’s patience during this planned activity, and thanks you for your continued cooperation as we rehabilitate the #KingGeorgeVILiftBridge for generations to come!
